If you are new to Dezoomify Plus, this guide helps you get productive in a few minutes.
Dezoomify Plus is a web tool that reconstructs high-resolution images from supported zoom viewers (such as Zoomify, Deep Zoom, IIIF, and related formats).
You paste a URL, run download, and save the final combined image.
1) First Look: Simple Download Mode
When you open the app, you land in Simple Download mode.

This mode is built for normal users and one-off downloads:
- Paste URL
- Start Download
- Watch status progress
- Save Image
If you only need a single export, this is usually all you need.
2) Your First Download
Quick flow:
- Paste a supported page or manifest URL.
- Click
Start Download. - Wait until the status reaches ready.
- Click
Save Image.
When complete, Dezoomify Plus shows a clear ready state and sticky save action:

3) Understanding the Progress Steps
The timeline shows four stages:
- Analyze URL
- Fetch Tiles
- Compose Image
- Ready to Save
This helps you see whether a problem is:
- source URL detection,
- network/tile fetching,
- or image composition.
4) Dashboard Mode (Advanced Users)
If you need queue/history/scheduling workflows, switch to Dashboard.

Dashboard is intended for authenticated usage and includes:
- account + API key lifecycle
- async queue
- job history
- schedules
- metrics
- settings/retention
- admin tab (admin role only)
5) Mobile Experience
The interface is responsive and keeps the primary flow visible on small screens.

You can run the complete simple flow directly from mobile, then save the result.
6) Common Troubleshooting
If a URL fails, it is often due to the source website, not Dezoomify itself.
Typical causes:
- anti-bot or 401 challenge pages
- unsupported viewer formats on that specific page
- blocked cross-origin content paths
Fast fixes:
- Try a direct manifest URL (
info.json,ImageProperties.xml,dzi) instead of a general page URL. - Use the Dezoomify browser extension to capture the exact zoom source URL.
- Test a known public IIIF sample to confirm your setup is working.
7) When to Use Which Mode
- Use Simple Download if you just want one image now.
- Use Dashboard if you run many jobs, want history, or need scheduling/metrics.
This split keeps the product easy for first-time users and powerful for repeat users.
Final Note
Dezoomify Plus was redesigned to reduce friction:
- fast first success for normal users,
- advanced controls only when needed,
- clearer status and save actions.
If you are trying it for the first time, start with one sample URL in Simple mode and confirm you can reach the Ready to Save state end-to-end.
